Sometimes musicians are brought together organically and for a purpose. Drown The Sea evolved for that reason – a unified approach towards bringing something which was familiar yet unique. A passion from the past and an energy for the future.
The Chicago 5-piece, whose diverse influences range from Of Monsters and Men, The Head & The Heart as well as an endearing loyalty to the music of Fleetwood Mac, have all played a significant role in harnessing the hypnotic, enigmatic and rhythmic propulsion drive of Drown The Sea.
The band's mission – to bring melody with a bright, luscious and sound provoking attitude that reminisces the days of 1970s Southern California rock but with an indie-vibe and flair which sounds refreshingly new.
